  • What do you love about where you live?

    We have wonderful people in our community. We care for each other. We help each other.

  • What positive emotion do you feel most often?

    Humility when I realize God has forgiven me for my rebellion against Him.

  • What profession do you admire most and why?

    A teacher. Teachers provide knowledge and skills for the next generation. Teachers instill hope.

  • If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

    Things that encourage joy, hope, and optimism! Such items as gifts, greeting cards, and encouraging plaques.

  • What are your future travel plans?

    I’m heading home after being on a mission trip.

  • What are you most worried about for the future?

    It depends. I personally thank the individual but I also seek to help someone else with the blessing I’ve received.

  • Which food, when you eat it, instantly transports you to childhood?

    Mint chocolate chip ice cream. I was raised in an orphanage as a young child. One summer day a local ice cream distributer brought us children chocolate chip ice cream as a promotional event to launch the flavor. It was in the early 1960’s.

  • What’s your favorite thing about yourself?

    My favorite thing about myself is that I’m married to an incredible woman. We’re celebrating our 50th anniversary this month.

  • How do you want to retire?

    I’m retired now and loving it. my wife and I are part a group that travels around doing service projects for faith based entities.

  • Describe one of your favorite moments.

    When I saw my family after a year of remote military assignment.
