  • Are you a lifelong learner?

    I am! When I teach others how to teach adults I tell them to create in learners a “yearning, burning for learning”.

  • What are you passionate about?

    I’m passionate about helping folks discover, sustain, or regain hope. I started my podcast, Our Journey To Hope with that desire in mind. I also wrote a book called, Journey to Hope with the same desire. Check out my web site for more details. https://ourjourneytohope.com.

  • What are the most important things needed to live a good life?

    That question is highly subjective. The word “good” means different things to different people and changes with time.

  • What jobs have you had?

    Military Command post communication operator, drill sergeant, first sergeant, college dean, quality engineer, college administrator, state technical education director, now retired. I spend my days volunteering at a cancer treatment center and writing and religious education curriculum. Other than that I goof off.

  • What is the legacy you want to leave behind?

    He had a yearning burning for learning.

  • What do you do to be involved in the community?

    I volunteer at our local cancer center where I received care when I was going through treatments.

  • What is your favorite holiday? Why is it your favorite?

    Thanksgiving! It’s about family and thankfulness.

  • Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

  • What topics do you like to discuss?

    I like to find connections between seemingly different concepts in the Bible. This shows internal validity.

  • What makes you nervous?

    Answering online questions makes me nervous. You never know how someone will interpret the response.
