Tell us about your first day at something — school, work, as a parent, etc.
My first day in the military I woke up with a sergeant yelling at me to get up and get my bed made. I thought, “what was I thinking when I volunteered?” But after a long career I was glad I stuck it out.

What is something others do that sparks your admiration?
Perform an act of kindness without anyone knowing or being asked to.
What could you do less of?
Hate.
What are your two favorite things to wear?
Blue jeans and well worn shoes.
Beach or mountains? Which do you prefer? Why?
My wife and I love the mountains for a romantic road trip. Some of our greatest memories are from the mountains.
Do you trust your instincts?
Most of the time but I still listen to other’s advice.
What’s the first impression you want to give people?
That I am kind and approachable.
