  • What Olympic sports do you enjoy watching the most?

    Preach and teach. (I do so now).

  • How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?

    I quit worrying about it and move Don.

  • You’re going on a cross-country trip. Airplane, train, bus, car, or bike?

    I usually drive my truck pulling an RV. But since that wasn’t a choice, I’d say car.

  • Where would you go on a shopping spree?

    My favorite toy store, Lowe’s Home Improvement. I love their selection of tools and materials. I enjoy making and repairing furniture.

  • What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.

    “How are you doing?” This is an empty question that gets a standard and equally empty response. Better to say hello and move into a real conversation.

  • Do you believe in fate/destiny?

    No. God created in us the ability to make choices. And choices have consequences.

  • What experiences in life helped you grow the most?

    There’s been so many! Recently it was surviving leukemia. The initial diagnosis was less than a month to live. Now three years later I look for opportunities to help others whose hope is being challenged.

  • Describe the most ambitious DIY project you’ve ever taken on.

    I completely remodeled our kitchen. I installed ceramic tile floors, quartz countertops, removed wallpaper, new paint, new backsplash, new appliances, new lighting, refaced cabinet doors, installed new cabinet hardware.

  • What advice would you give to your teenage self?

    Don’t do it!

  • Who are your favorite people to be around?

    My wife, children, and grandchildren
