Write a letter to your 100-year-old self.

Dear 100-Year-Old Dave,

If this letter somehow finds its way into your hands, I hope you’re sitting in a comfortable chair with a warm cup of coffee nearby and a heart that is still grateful for the journey.

I hope you are still smiling at simple things—sunrises, quiet mornings, and the laughter of family. I hope the years have deepened your faith and softened your heart. If life has taught you anything by now, it is that the things that mattered most were never the things that could be bought or stored away. They were the people you loved, the hope you shared, and the faith you tried to live each day.

I hope you remember the adventures—roads traveled, stories told, and the many ways God showed His faithfulness along the way. If your steps are slower now, may your spirit still be strong. If your memory fades at times, may the most important truths remain clear: God was good, life was a gift, and love was always worth giving.

If you could send a message back through time, I imagine you would say something simple:

“Trust God more. Worry less. Love people well. And don’t rush the journey.”

Until we meet in those later years, I will keep walking forward with hope.

With gratitude for the life we’re living,

Dave
